CDC Issues Updated Guidance for Employers on Office Buildings

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (the “CDC”) has issued updated guidance (last updated May 27, 2020) detailing steps employers should take prior to returning employees to work in an office building environment.  While the CDC’s guidance is not binding, it is a valuable resource for employers taking an initial look at how to protect their workforce when they return to the office as well as for those seeking to improve their safety and health protocols.

Employers making plans to return their workforce to the office should remain mindful of state-specific reopening requirements, such as the industry-specific requirements issued in New York and New Jersey.
